This week on Sex City—April 9, 2013

Louise welcomes Shereen El Feki, the researcher/author of Sex and the Citadel (Doubleday Canada), a narrative which explores sexual and social changes in the arab world. It's an insightful and surprisingly open read, delving in to how people are experiencing sexualities across the arab region, how sex is entangled with religion, politics, tradition, economic and generational shifts. While optimistic, she's concerned, concedes of how recent political questioning, won't necessarily lead to ease to sexual freedom.
